Buying a Porsche Macan - petrol or diesel?

I'm thinking of buying a new Porsche Macan, but can't decide between petrol or diesel powertrains. What do you recommend?

The hot Macan is the one to go for if you can and if you ever plan doing any track days in an SUV. The diesel was heavily over-subscribed, but it could be that some buyers are backing out.
