Thanks for your recommendation for replacement wheels via Tyremen for my Skoda Superb.

Last June I asked for your advice about replacing the ‘bling’ wheels and low profile tyres on my Skoda Superb. Thank you for your confirmation that I was doing the right thing, and also for steering me to www.tyremen.co.uk in Hull. Their price, plus the mere £10 courier fee to get the wheels to me in Faversham, was indeed very competitive. The whole exercise cost me just over £700, including wheel balancing, and it has certainly proved to be money well spent. My wife and I are now enjoying a really ‘Superb’ and comfortable drive.

Excellent news. Car manufacturers are not getting the message that the vast majority of the motoring public do not want bling wheels and low profile tyres and the penalties they bring. But vested interests ensure that the public does not get what it wants.

Update: AH’s idiot insurer then kicked him in the teeth by imposing an extra £125 a year on his insurance for ‘modifying’ his car to standard specification.
