What should I do about a fault alert on my 2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

I bought a 2013 E-Class Mercedes-Benz two weeks ago. Since then, while driving, suddenly I hear a loud two bleeps and see a warning triangle light up. The car has been twice to Robinson Motors, Cambridge and they are unable to find the fault. I am 82 years old and this warning comes up regardless of the speed I am driving. What do you advise me to do?

The first thing you need to do is take the dealer who sold you the car for a drive and demonstrate this to him. It will also show him how you are driving the car. There may be some quirk you are not aware of and he can explain this to you. If this does not resolve the problem, advise the dealer that the car obviously has a dangerous fault and is therefore "not of satisfactory quality" so if he cannot fix it you wish to return the car for a full cash refund.
