Which insurance company will recognise my no-claims gained on a trader's policy?

I have had to give up my motor trader's insurance policy as I have turned 75 years old and been forced into retirement. However, I have insurance on the car that my wife and I use and we have found it very difficult to find an insurance company that will honour my five years' no-claims bonus from my trader's policy. Most of them do not want to know. Have you got any suggestions as to who might be able to help me?

Other traders have complained about this and it will eventually hit me. The British Insurance business is a consumer unfriendly nightmare, and I don't have an answer except to try a good independent broker such as www.primoplc.com
