Can I drive a car with no MoT or tax?

My daughter has seen a car for sale, but it's off the road and is not taxed or MoT'd. How can it be legally driven to the garage to be tested?

As long as it is insured it can legally be driven to a pre-booked MoT inspection. Must be pre-booked, though.
