Nice little earner

I thought that you might be interested in an email from a leading Legal Expenses Insurer. Is it any wonder insurance premiums are at the level that they are when insurance brokers like us are being targeted with these kinds of offers?

We are being encouraged to charge customers effectively whatever we please for a free product that will then reward us with a further percentage of the proceeds of credit hire, etc. Disgraceful. Our business is supposedly regulated by the FSA who, for general insurance, expect brokers to "Treat Customers Fairly". How is selling a product that costs nothing even remotely fair, when the seller also benefits as soon as the product is claimed upon.

The world's gone mad. At least there are a few of us out here who are determined not to rip off our customers.

That is truly disgusting and will be exposed, along with the fact that many 'insurers' are now, in fact, brokers and are taking much bigger percentages than previously, often 40% - 60%, to arrange business with underwriters. Many thanks for your email.
