Is haggling with dealers over prices a thing of the past?
I it now the case that the price a dealer advertises for a car is the price you'll pay? Is haggling a thing of the past?

Whether a dealer is open to negotiation on a price can depend on the type of business you are buying from. Main dealers selling used vehicles and independent business will often be open to negotiation, although there are no guarantees. However, making an offer and then walking away is a sure-fire way to find out if a dealer is actually open to haggling or just playing hardball. On the other hand car supermarkets tend not to be open to negotiation, but typically offer lower prices for the same vehicle compared to a main dealer.
