I bought a car that supposedly had a full service history but this wasn't the case - what should I do?

I was told that a car I was buying had a full service history. It is a 10 year old car and only has 5 years service history. They offered me £100 or to have the car back. It has cost me £250 for changing my insurance and delivery costs. What should I do?

If the car has been misrepresented then you are able to reject it within 30 days, or agree a settlement with the vendor. In this instance, we would be most concerned in if it has been serviced recently as the latest inspection is the most important and find out if the cam belt has been changed. Without knowing what you paid for the car, it's impossible to determine if the dealer's offer is appropriate.
