Do I need to notify my insurer of a scuff mark on my bumper?

I recently noticed a scuff mark on my front bumper after parking in a tight space at the supermarket. I have not heard from another driver. Do I need to advise my insurers of a possible claim?

Insurance companies advise that you should notify them of any damage to your vehicle, whether you or a third party were responsible. If you are unsure if you were responsible for the damage or not it may be wise to notify your insurer in case of a third party claim.
