Are modifications recorded on the motor insurance database?
Are modifications recorded on the motor insurance database and will therefore be known to next owners insurer?

Yes, car modifications that are declared would be recorded by the DLVA and insurance companies. You should always alert the DLVA of any modifications to your car, and when taking out an insurance policy. This information will then be recorded against the vehicle’s registration number. Undeclared modifications could invalidate your insurance policy.
