What can I do about a delaminated windscreen?

My 2016 HONDA CR-V front windscreen has become delaminated. Honda says my extended warranty does not cover this. Also, my Car Insurer LV refuse to cover it under my policy which includes windscreen cover. What can I do ?

It is possible that this issue has fallen between the gaps in exclusions on your warranty and your insurance policy. Delamination is a failure of the part, and insurance policies tend to cover windscreen damage, so it is understandable that this is not covered. It may be that the Honda warranty excludes anything to do with the windscreen as failure may be caused by damage, even if this is not the case here. We would suggest checking the terms and conditions of your warranty in detail and you may wish to make a complaint, but unless this is successful you may have to seek out a replacement windscreen. One option would be to source a good quality secondhand windscreen from a breaker's yard in order to avoid the cost of a brand new item.
