How do I maintain my no claims discount if I have a company car?

I've a car which I'm getting rid of where I am the primary named driver on a personal policy, with 20+ years NCB. I do not intend to get a replacement vehicle for a couple of years. My second car has my wife as primary driver and I'm a named driver on a different personal policy. My day to day car is a company lease, which I am a named driver on a corporate group policy for that specific vehicle. What's the best way to maintain my no claims history? Does the company car policy count towards it?

It’s likely that you’ll lose your NCB if you switch to a company car. But if you’ll be using it for both business and personal use, some insurers might offer a ‘no claims driving’ policy, which can offer some sort of discount when you take out your own personal policy down the line. But not all insurers do this, so it’s worth checking your options before committing to a company vehicle. Your NCB is also valid for 2 years, so if you go back to a personal car within this time, your discount should still be valid.
