Do I need to tell my insurer about my heart surgery?

I have recently had a replacement aortic valve during heart surgery and wondered if I am obliged to inform my moot insurance companies of the operation?

You do need to inform your insurance company if you have a heart condition or have had heart surgery. Failure to do so may make your insurance policy invalid in the event of a claim.
