Clone stranger

I read in the Motoring column today's Daily Telegraph that you have an interest in occasions of car cloning. I thought I ought to report to you a recent phone call I had from an Indian man who said that he had my phone number (I’m on the Telephone Preference Service so not usually available) and that a "car registered to my address had been notified to them as having been in an accident.” I demanded to know what address he had and what car number he had, who he was and what company he represented. He continually stated that he required my name and address, which I countered with who was he, what company did he represent and what car number did he have. He refused to answer and I refused to give him any details so, after about five minutes of verbal tennis he put his phone down. Did I have to give him any answers?

Many thanks. It is only if public-spirited people like you take the action you did that we can collectively remove these leeches.
