Trial and error

Knowing your views on the DVLA and the requirement to chase them up at all times, this story on The Register deserves a wider audience. (www.theregister.co.uk/2010/05/03/dvla_court/) Or have you already got it? In effect, it appears that there is no legal requirement for a punter to prove to the DVLA by chasing them up, that he or she did send SORN documentation to them. Worth reading through the comments section too if you fancy a smile.

I know. Many thanks; several other readers sent me the link. The same happened in the case of a friend of mine. What is more disturbing is that many JPs are unaware of the law and apply what the DVLA tells them to apply. I have actually had to correct some of them.
