Would you buy a new car? 24 Mar 2009 (Forum)
Why buy new as you still get the remaining warranty! I have noted that prices have bottomed out. Last year, you could by the previous mode Ford Ka, brand new with tax for 4500 quid - now they are selling at that for a year old model. A family member bought a Saab, 57 plate sport/auto, 9k on the clock, convertable for 11k - 21k saving. Smaller automatic cars are retaining their price better as our daughter is looking for one as her first car, max spend 4 - 4:5k - about 2 years old & less than 15 on the clock - avy ideas? -

B Max/ Jazz - Goodbye Powershift. 27 Jan 2018 (Forum)
And I really, REALLY can't understand how they managed to make the Jazz boot bigger than that of the B Max, and still have plenty of legroom in the back. Remarkable. Just thought I'd let folks know that I'm back in the Sensible Motoring Club. It may turn out to be boring, but hopefully it'll be safe, cheap and hassle free. -
Oil overfill - action ? 13 Dec 2007 (Forum)
Subsequently I have not had time to call into the dealer (30 mins away) and have done perhaps another 3-400 miles. Between "min" and "max" on the dipstick is about 15-20mm and the level is currently about 5-7mm over "max". Should I be worried? Should I get it corrected? Regards. -
Ford Fiesta 2010 - Do I need to change timing belt before its time? 16 Aug 2016 (Forum)
I had to borrow a fair amount of money to buy it and can't afford any purchases these next few months but I have read horror stories on the net. I am planning to have it done in the next six months for peace of mind but just wondering if it s a bit of a risk. On the report from the mechanic, it s written the driving belts are in good condition but I suspect this did not include the timing belt. Unfortunately, there are no service history or repair receipt. -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 2002 2.0tdci - Fuel injectors 17 Jan 2009 (Forum)

The car has an intercooler hissing under acceleration and i cannot hear the turbo (because of the cooler noise) is this normal? Is this the same for other TDCI owmers? -
Toyota Estima - Imported Estima vs 1.4 Sharan…or something else?!? 3 Mar 2024 (Forum)
I’m in the market for a spacious (and reliable) used 7 seater with a budget of £12,500 Must haves are: petrol, auto, heated front seats, raised seating position OR comfortable drive (due to my disability), reversing camera, room for 2 teenagers in all of the rear 5 seats (so no Qashqai+2 for ex.) but also not as big as a van styled motor such as the Alphard or Berlingo Would be nice: leather/half leather trim, tray tables to back of front seats, half decent mpg After much deliberation I’ve cut it down to an imported Estima vs 1.4 Sharan - around an 11 plate or newer, with less than 100k on the clock and good history (Verso is too small, XC90 worries me with repair bills, don’t fancy a Zafira, Galaxy, S Max, Grand Picasso, or Alhambra) Have I missed anything worth considering - such as an older X5? - and if not, which would be a better investment to try and get 6 or more years of well serviced motoring from??
