Lord Sir Alex Trotman 5 May 2005 (Forum)
You may or may not have heard of him, but I wes saddend to hear of the untimely passing last week of a well known ex. motor boss.. well within the Ford Motor company anyway. Lord Alex Trotman aged 71 who was Fords world big chief from 1993 to 1999. What is even less well known is that the had a personal hand in the ill-fated buyout attempt of British Leyland in the late 70's. -

Max your air-con. 30 May 2005 (Forum)
As summer seems to be on us again as from today, i was wondering on some tips to keep ultra cool during the heatwave (well 'til Sunday anyway) Colleague of mine said today the way to max your air-con is to have air directed at the eye level vents only, have the two nearest the doors pointing towards the doors, the two center one blend together. Which means the right one pointing left and the left one pointing right. -

New/Nearly New 7 Seaters - 16-22k 30 Oct 2010 (Forum)
Hi All, Found myself with a requirement for a 7 seater (well, 6 plus a huge buggy) and after looking at older threads still couldn't find much. Looking around, the Honda FR-V is a little out of the price range, along with the S-Max/Galaxy. Its for work purposes too so reliability and new or nearly new are pretty high on the wish list however mileage wise, its probably less than 12k/year. Which leaves one of the French contingent - Citreon, Renault and Peugeot or a Zafira. -
Lies, Damn Lies and Fuel computers 20 Apr 2007 (Forum)
Hi, My last three cars have all had fuel computers and they have all been quite accurate. Although I haven't got a great deal of data to go on , I have just got a new 1.8 TDCi S-Max and it does appear to flatter your ego a bit. My last two fill ups it told me I was getting 51 and 49.8 MPG respectively - LIES. Below is a table of my actual consumption worked out brim to brim. -
Diesel wins! 27 Sep 2002 (Forum)
