  • 07 Ford Focus Sport 1.8 - Engine Management Warning 13 Nov 2010 (Forum)
The car handbook makes no mention of this particular warning light and a Ford 'expert' spoken to on the phone is perplexed. It seems that a 'secondary' management system is installed but what it is supposed to be doing no one seems to know. I'm sure someone out there must have had the same problem!
  • Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 04 1.8 Slightly Poor Fuel Consumption 18 Dec 2008 (Forum)
I know there was a topic posted not long ago about this, but I'm just looking for tips on how I could improve the economy. Its a Ford Focus 1.8 petrol. I Have had the car 18 months, and used to get around 31-32 MPG on a day-to-day use, going up to around 38 MPG on a longer journey. This is included winter weather last year. Now I am getting a max of 27 MPG.

  • What to use on dry bushes? Ford Escort. 29 Oct 2005 (Forum)
... and no mentions of plenty of water and a dash of miracle-gro ;-) Car is an 89 Escort, has been squeeking from the back for a while now and has just started creaking from the from suspension/turning right. I\'m thinking it\'s just dry bushes as the car has just passed it\'s MoT. My question is: what do I use on them? My list so far includes: Silicon grease, Lithium Grease, WD-40, 3-in-1, Engine Oil, etc. I just don\'t know which one would be best?

  • ford cmx/ Xsara PIcasso/ Other mpv - Dilemna between cars... 6 Feb 2021 (Forum)
This is what I want: Higher seating position (hence me wanting an MPV, just got rid of my 4x4 which was guzzling fuel) Automatic Reliable Good mpg  Max 3000/3500 pounds I don't do much miles, 8000 max a year so petrol would be best I think.   My choices, after doing some research online seem to be: CMax or Xsara Picasso or Megan Scenic (possibly a model 3) (although I am weary of the fuel consumption of older models)  Definitely no C4 Picasso due to the faulty auto gearbox   I have seen a few cmax (2006-2009) but there seems to be a problem with the suspension arms, a "disease" that costs 500 pounds to repair.
