  Hi I've been offered the chance to buy a Ford S Max Titanium, 2007 with 154,000 miles on the clock. It is is Diesel. Went to see it yesterday and it looks ok, and has service history from Leaseplan. The CamBelt was changed 1 year ago, but the cost to do it was only £279 which to me seems a bit cheap therefore I don't know if this was a full CamBelt change or not.

  Saw second S Max today (first one parked though). Looks really good- and not much taller than normal car. Think that looked odd was the metalwork on the top of the rear n/s door was covered in masking tape- and car had a 55 reg- didn't these go on sale after the 06 plates came out?

    Unless I wanted to feature in a police video.  It seems crazy.   I would have thought an 'R' (106 mph) or 'S' (112 mph) would be OK.  I found a similar thread from way back in 2001 and I'm writing more in hope than expectation that common sense now prevails.

  Hi, I need an aerial adaptor to fit an aftermarket stereo into my S-Max. Is the Ford aerial Fakra, ISO or anything else as standard? I beleive I will need an XXXX to DIN convertor to fit the aerial into an Alpine headunit.   Heard so many bad reports about Ford dealers in the North East - worried - Anyone any recommendations of a good (cheap) dealer in the North East of England that is capable of doing a first service on an S-Max? any comment welcome  When the first service on the S-Max  is done the software on the on board computer needs updating - cant seem to find out what software is in (to check that it has been done) or some idea if there is an update available  Rang both Ford customer care and Ford customer relations but they tried but could not find out ( got the technical info centre number 0906 5533447 but thats a premium rate £1 a min number and based on the fact that other people in Ford dont know may be wasting my money Anyone any ideas?

  Saw a new S-Max while passing my local Ford dealer today and it looks quite attractive, albeit they had a new Galaxy along side and I had to wonder why the front-end looks to be the same on both models? I would have thought this would dilute the image of the S-max somewhat.
