It was a tight finish with the winning crew securing an overall total of 00:19:37, only 00:00:24 separating them from Abel and Powley, who have finished second for the past two years, on 00:20:01. Bill Cleyndert and Dan Harrison took third place in the 1928 Ford Model A with a total of 00:20:21. This year's winning crew - Paul Crosby and Ali Proctor. -
Pop-up classic car show for poorly enthusiast 11 May 2016 (News)
Alan was overwhelmed by the support from fellow enthusiasts, with classics and their owners arriving from far afield. Among the forty vehicles in attendance were a Rover P4, a brace of Ford Zodiacs, a Chevrolet Corvette, various Morris Minors, an Austin Maxi, an MGB, a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, a Volvo 66 and 244, a MkI Escort, an MG Metro an even a rare Colt Sapporo. To give the pop-up show even more purpose, Alan began a collection on behalf of the British Lung Foundation and – with the help of a Just Giving online page – has so far raised an impressive £800-plus for the charity. -

Of all the cars registered in the 1980s, it’s the Porsche 911 that tops the chart, with 2786 cars tested showing a 73% pass rate. Hot on the heels of the 911 is the Ford Sierra, with a 71% pass rate Porsche does well in the 1990s too, with the 911 once again topping the chart with a 75.8% pass rate. Second, with 67% pass rate is the Mercedes-Benz SLK while the Jaguar XK8 takes third with 63% of cars passing. -

For me, that means the period of time that spans James Hunt and Ayrton Senna in F1, the Triumph Dolomite and Ford Sierra RS Cosworth in touring cars, and Lancia Stratos and Delta Integrale in rallying. And I suspect that there are many thousands of classic car enthusiasts out there who feel the same. That sounds like a huge period of time to cover, we're looking at around a 12-year span, one that's far narrower than the Revival currently enjoys. -

Brits Mike Reeves and Michelle Jana Chan in the 1940 Ford Coupe, came third. Winners of the European trophy for the Vintageants category were Canadian’s Tony and Lee Strolzow in the Bentley Drophead. Out of the 96 cars that left the Great Wall of China on 28th May, 86 cars crossed the finish line in Place Vendome, Paris today, with thousands waiting, including friends and family wanting to see their loved ones after 33 days on the road. -

Still Time To Save up to £6,000 on Scrappage With Mazda 30 Dec 2009 (News)
Figures gathered since the scheme started in May show that one in ten of buyers choosing a new Mazda are trading in their old Mazda while 16 per cent of buyers are trading in a Ford and 10 per cent were previously Vauxhall owners. Hardly surprising that the multi-award winning Mazda2 has been the most popular car under the scheme, accounting for 63 per cent, or almost 4,700, of the total Mazdas sold. -
