  Hi, Looking at the Focus Diesel range, I noticed they do a DPF and non-DPF version of the same engine. From what I can see there is no difference in the technical spec, so why do they have the two versions? My reason for looking/asking is that I have a Zafira 1.9CDTI and am fed up to the back teeth with damm DPF problems!

  Im considering a c class or e class estate if i can afford. I have always driven diesels but dont want a car with a dpf. My budget will allow for something around 2007-2009 age. Does anyone know if the c class or e class around this age has dpf on or not?   thanks

  Hi, would anyone know if the 2020 version of the Toyota Proace has any issues with the DPF. Am I correct in thinking these vehicles share the DPF with Citroen, Vauxhall, and Peugeot, and the 2020 version would contain an upgraded DPF to earlier vrsions ?? Anything I should be worried about concerning DPF's (or anything else for that matter) on tis 2020 Proace ??

  Need to know if anyone has a fix for a DPF (depollution system fault). So far this has blown my turbo which I've had replaced and engine cleaned - DPF fault still on. Also had Fuel cap additive fault - had this checked and fixed, cap was loose Had DPF checked -not needing cleaned, pressures fine New DPF sensor fitted the other day and DPF fault and engine management back on.

  Been told that the way to spot whether a VW/Audi has a DPF fitted (around the changeover period of 2007) is to look at the tail pipe. Non DPF has a curved down pipe fitted as OE. DPF has a straight pipe fitted. Is this correct or is there any other way of finding out ?

  About to buy a lovely Transit and I need the vehicle for local deliveries. So a DPF is non negotiable. My main dealer says that DPF's were not fitted until 2012 at the earliest and the vehicle has no DPF icon on the dash. Can anyone advise please and as this is a private sale what else should i be checking. the van has done 28 K and is immaculate.

  After seeing the numerous posts about the problems with DPFs my eye was caught by a company in a magazine offering DPF deletion kits. There was no mention of legality but I assume having this modification done would be illegal.

  Does anyone knows if the Toyota ECU require rreprogramming to reset the DPF loading level after the DPF is cleaned? I have asked one of the DPF cleaner garage and they are unsure. They are charging £200 to remove, cleaned and refit to the car. Anyone could comment on this or share any experience would be appreciated.
