  I'm looking at 05 or 06 reg volvo s40. i know the 1.6 is fords 1.6 zetec, but is the 1.8 and 2.0 the mazda mzr or the old ford zetec?

  Can anyone recommend any non franchised garages in the Worcester/S Midlands area who either specialise in Volvos or air conditioning? I have a Volvo 850 that needs a complete a/c system - £1100 at the Volvo dealer for an evaporator, condensor and a/c radiator. Surely I can get this done cheaper. Volvo 850/V70 buyers beware - take heed of honest john's assessment on the a/c - it will fail if not serviced by someone who knows what they're doing and that doesn't always mean the Volvo main dealer.

• Volvo V50R design 2.0 D - DPF fault took 51 weeks to rectify cost £8.5k 11 Dec 2017 (Forum)
  Fault was DPF - soot filter indicated. Took to local garage. First - regen. Came up again. Garage took to Volvo to confirm DPF required replacing which they agreed. DPF replaced (euro parts) . Fault codes still indicated. Volvo stated DPF readings ok. Volvo stated Turbo faulty - Turbo replaced (Euro parts) Volvo stated readings from turbo ok.

  I was getting excited about a new Volvo V40 then my mates said the parts and servicing costs caused them to get rid of their Volvos. Does any one know of a comparison of prices between manufacturers of top end hatch like the V 40? Charlieskipper

  A friend of mine owns a Volvo V70. There is a bad smell coming from the vent. The cabin filter was changed. What else might be making the interior smelling, and can the air conditioning be to blame for this at all?   Thanks Greg

  Hi, I have a 2018 Volvo S90 which has just had a major failure on it's NCT (Irl equivalent of MOT) because the track rod ends are worn on one side. Any ideas on what could have caused this?

  Hi. Volvo push the 16" Libra wheel as more "efficient". Has anyone experienced any problems with these wheels? I wondered if their shape meant that they were more likely to suffer kerbing (or other) damage than other wheels or if the large plain areas kept well?

  A friend has a Volvo 240, reg. Jan '88, Estate, 2,316CC, & describes it as a "240 GLP". I can't find this model - only 240 GLE & 240 GLT. What is it really? How would I tell? The engine no. is in the high (11x0)1100s.
