  Also on the head unit there is a grey/yellow wire which is energised when head unit is powered up this wire is a power output according to the sticker on the radio but i cant find that wire at the amp where does it go? there is another wire a white/purple which runs from head unit to the amp which again according to the sticker on the radio is a pci bus lead what is this for?

  as for the pedal test- the lights go out and there is no flashing light at all. as for using the radio I am struggling to identify the settings button and the BC button

  As some of you with Vauxhall products will know, holding in the RDS button on a CCR600 head unit for a few seconds, whilst tuned to FM, will cause the radio to scan and memorize available stations for fast access. Out of interest(!) I tried the same thing whilst tuned to MW. When I released the RDS button a few seconds after depressing it, I saw a previously hidden code (a jumble of letters between A and D, plus numbers), with an adjacent one-digit-per-second countdown starting from 52!

  I then phoned my dealer in the UK who told me which fuse to remove and I then metioned that I was parked near to a Police station with a radio mast on the roof. He said that this was probabaly the problem and that if I drove away a little it may work. I removed the fuses to silence the alarm and drove away but the keyfob still did not work, however, my spare one does, apparently they need to be retuned following such instances of radio interference.

  On a Blaupunkt/Honda radio. Labelled 'ARI' when pressed usually just produces beeps but sometimes ARI and/or SP appears on display. Can't figure it out! Thanks

  Anyone have any particular teething probs with the new 1.8 Dynamique Laguna? I've heard complaints of interior speaks and rattles and problem with the rds radio tuning. Any others?

  I'm not inclined to sell her at this time - any ads online seem to be <£1K - maybe I could do better? Not sure of the value of such a car with 9 months MOT left. Radio doesn't work since she was put into storage (previously working perfectly) and now windscreen washer motor has stopped working. Had an independent car electrics guy have a look and he says the radio needs to be replaced (dunno why!)
