    I purchased a warranty from Lexus with the saleman leading me to believe that my clutch would be covered should it need replacing. Much to my delight i have now found it could cost me 2000.00 to replace and potentially my marriage.

  Hi, I have a 2002 Mondeo 2.0TDCi which cuts out once or twice, when cold, within the first few hundred metres The only lights that come up are battery & oil I can then immediately re-start it and it runs fine So far I have put fuel cleaner in, cleaned EGR valve, replaced cam position sensor, replaced fuel filter and cleaned the earth lead under battery Any suggestions would be most welcome Regards Greg

  I have a ford fiesta 1.25 zetec that has suddenly developed a misfire on number 3 cylinder. I have checked the plugs and all ok, I have replaced the leads and coil pack but has made no difference at all. When I looked at the plugs they were all the correct biscuity colour apart from number 3 which was black, sooty and dry. Any advice on what could be wrong will be greatly appreciated.

  The only problem is that when I look I cant find anywhere for it to plug into. Does anyone know what this lead could be for? I'll add a photo of the cable in question as soon as I can.

  Codes read P0201 and P0206  injector circuit open cylinder 1 and then the same for cylinder 6. Garage fitted new injectors and while the car was stripped down new plugs, leads and coil pack. Seemed to cure it for a few months but now it has started doing it again to the point where it actually cut out on me yesterday. Then it will suddenly clear and drive perfectly.

  So i am wondering if with the extra load on the engine it is missing (spluttering). I have checked the spark plugs recently and they seem ok, Could it be the leads?? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

  had a flat battery this morning its be on its way out so invested in a new one after work fitted but the car will not start just turns over and over and i have no idea where to start i did use jump leads to get it running this morning and it started straight away since fitting the new batteryi have no dash lights when trying to start not even hand break light the only light that comes on is the battery light

  I use Waitrose staion which is Esso(I believe).Would it be advisable to fill up with super instead of premium u/leaded occasionly?Or would this be a waste of "bite the bullet" money? I only do about 6000 per annum mileage.

  my 1.4 corsa is running very rough almost like hunting on tick over and at low revs missing, the head gasket had been replaced just before i bought it with the head skimmed new valves and new hydraulic lifters, iv replaced the plugs for new, fitted a known good coil pack and leads, removed and cleaned the egr valve, but no difference, can anybody help please ?

  having bought a 10 plate bmw 318d,10 days ago,i have been unfortunate to have been hit from behind on my first day in the car,a 4/4 landrover ran into the back leading to caving in of the back and boot i was on 7 day cover from bmw which i now find does not cover the legal costs what are my options for claim regarding repairs/personal injury sustainned,can some one suggest please
• Ford Focus - intermidiate misfire and loss of power 3 Nov 2010 (Forum)
  Yesterday while motorway driving we noticed that our focus would on the odd occation misfire and loose power for about 10 - 20 seconds. This would happen in a varity of gear ratio's. Im going to change the plugs and HT leads, but have heard about the coil pack might be at fault ? Also noticed that the speedo needle would flick when this happened and then settle down again. anyone got some advise, am I on the right track.

  I know Ive been told to replace it but is there something else which causes a flat battery as opposed to the obvious battery replacement?. I have been having to use jump leads to start it recently, even after a good run the car wont start the following day. ould there be something which is like trickle draining it, or is it the battery which needs replacing.   I normally don't do anything about it unless its major. Should it be checked out and what are the likely causes - worn gasket cover etc? And can it lead to long term damage to engine or any components (if I keep the oil topped up)?

  Replaced the battery today, but now I can only hearing and clicking noise. Tried bump starting and tried jump leads but neither has worked. Elec windows and lights are still working. Can anyone help? Thanks

  Can anyone tell me which sony 10 cd changer I need for my qx 3 litre v6 auto as it is missing from this car. all leads and head unit are in situ and radio works fine but the radio hanbook doesnt specify which radio ive got nor is there a model number on it,(other than sony) will any sony disc changer work ?   I have a Renault megane 8v which revs up on its own , I have checked all the vacumm hoses extra and cant find any split. The car also seems to have a miss fire on number 4 pot, I have checked the coil's, plug and ht leads and compression tested but all are fine. Any suggestions and advise will be gratefully recieved it driveing me mad and that not just the car its the mother in law

  I would like to buy genuine spares all the time but don't like to argue If I think the price is very high. 9 times out of ten I'll use a top quailty part from elsewhere just because I know in advance what it's going to cost. Want to check plug leads at the moment.

  This petrol merc has a misfire on no 2 cylinder, compression is good, coil packs and plug leads all good. using the laptop all seems to function as it should but it counts the misfires and then puts the management light on. The local wizboys are stumped ,and now we have removed the head to check for problems to no avail .
