  This Omega just goes from worse to worse after my engine ans gearbox problems today just done a 20 minute round trip and whilst driving round a roundabout the power steering failed nearly causing me to crash and the battery light is now permanently on.   again no fault found .Sometimes the battery was discharged after the car had only been left undriven for 3-4 days.so i never know if it is going to start. Dealer has replaced one battery as it had become damaged by being flat so much ,they have carried out parasidic draw tests to see if there is undue drain on battery while car is parked ,no fault found. all tests show no fault with car.

  I took it to a national, reuptable servicing company after a couple of times of it not starting who ran a diagnositc on the battery and they said it neeed a re-charge and to go on a long journey (apparently i do too many short journeys and it doesn't re-charge properly). Given that i have a battery charging device, i didn't do the long journey but re-charged the battery, but this hasn't worked.
