  We are downsizing to one car and have just collected our new Prius. The problem is, having only ever driven maual cars, I am finding very difficult to adjust. I feel very out of control, particularly when parking. Any advice? I am going to have to get to grips with it very soon, as the old car is going on Saturday.

  Hi, There is a previous question about VAT on a new car. I am currently buying a used car (a 6 month old Mondeo) and this has made be wonder about VAT on used cars (I did a quick Google and found people talking about VAT on used cars on other forums). I have agreed a price for the car, when I go to pay tomorrow am I going to find VAT slapped on top?

  Right here goes: I bought a car from a dealer on 14/10/2006 it was a mere 2.5 years old. I signed the paperwork for the V5 (which I never personally received after). The car had 12 months tax - becomes important. At this time I had two cars including the new one.

  Re the 2005 BMW Z4 2.0i. "The washer pumps routinely fail if the correct BMW washer fluid is not used. " That car is 12 years old. Does the comment about the washer fluid / pump failure cause and effect still hold true for BMWs manufactured during the last five years, or even 'today'? Thankyou, David S

  My automatic 525 makes a ticking or buzzing sound when accelerating. It does not do it when revving in neutral. The car is 3 years old with 9,000 miles. Any ideas?

  There is a youth around here that drives an old shed, the car pumps out enough noxious fumes to smoke the population of a nearby fishery. Did I dream this or was there an on-line reporting system to VOSA to report such wretched behaviour ?

  A family member is considering buying a 2-3 yr old used Volvo S60 D5. Has anyone had any experiences of these cars, or the V70 estate equivalent ? I would be grateful for feedback on economy, reliability, durability and dealers in particular.
