What Used Car for £16k? 27 Apr 2008 (Forum)
Key criteria are (a) reliable (b) good performance and handling (c) a bit 'special' (d) small enough to go in my small garage (d) not a convertible (e) a good local dealer ( I live in Sheffield). I currently have a 1999 Mazda 323. The shortlist so far: Nissan 350z - though hard to find one for this price, and likely to be too big for garage. Mazda RX8 - seem to be a lot around, but would need to find one that has had the required tlc (ie, not used for short journeys). -

If you were to choose a vehicle from the list below which one would you go for based on the price, handling of the vehicle, boot size, running cost and tax? Honda CRV Mazda CX- 5 Skoda Octavia VRS Vauxhall Insignia I've currently got a BMW 3 series estate but find the boot size quite small, and the comfort not so great on long jorneys. -
Used petrol car prices 28 Jul 2017 (Forum)
Has anyone noticed used dealers taking advantage of the bad diesel press and increasing the price of petrol cars (particularly larger vehicles)? Last year I was toying with the idea of buying a Mazda CX5 petrol, never got arount to it and now they are a grand more for same age/spec. It's almost worth buying diesel agin and putting up with reliability issues. -

Best window replacement firm? 23 Jul 2008 (Forum)
Had my Mazda 323 broken into this evening, and the radio/cassette nicked. I can pick up a new cheap & cheerful stereo at Halfords, but are there any recommendations for getting the passenger's side window replaced? -
Vauxhall Astra H (2004 - 2009) - Vauxhall diesels (modern ones) Any good ? 15 May 2008 (Forum)
Just came across a 2005 Astra 1.7 cdti. It struck me that there's been plenty of talk about common rail problems (especially Ford and Mazda) and VAG comparisons, but not much mention of Vauxhall (unless I missed it). Any views welcome. Thanks -
Which 4x4 Estate 13 Jul 2004 (Forum)
At the moment I can only seem to see the Audi A4 Avant Quattro that fits the bill. I like the look and feel of the Mazda 6 Sport AWD and the Subaru Impreza WRX but they don't come with a diesel engine. Are there any other 4x4 diesel estate cars out there worth considering? -
ford focus 30 Jan 2003 (Forum)
but i'm concerned on reliability, the list is massive on the car by car breakdown. is it just the fact their is so many, or are they no way near as reliable as a honda, toyota, mazda or nissan, because thats the type of reliability i need in a medium sized car that doesn't look dated. i still don't think a ford is as well built as a japenese car. c'mon they are the kings of electronics! -
Mazda 3 - Mazda 3 2.2 d engine failure - warranty problem 13 May 2015 (Forum)
Some mentioned injectors, others made no mention. I also went onto the Mazda website, did an online service booking request, which found a local mazda dealer offering the scheduled 75,000 mile service for around £400. When I rang them to ask what was included, he made no mention of injectors. -

New tyres 29 Jun 2015 (Forum)
This has probably been done to death before and, if so, I apologise but could somebody who knows what's what please advise of the correct driving procedure immediately after new tyres have been fitted. I have a Mazda 6 2.0litre and have had new front and rear tyres fitted this last week. Is it necessary to 'drive them in'? If so, how? There seems to be a lot of contradictory advice on various websites. Thanks in advance. -
Focus - Used 98/99 hatchback under £1000 19 May 2013 (Forum)
Looking for reliable, cheapish, good hatchback and I have narrowed it down to the Ford Focus (1.6/1.8) , Honda Civic (1.4/1.5), and Mazda 323(1.6) It looks like I would only be able to afford around the 98/99 models. I has to be manual as I want to use it to help my son to drive Any views on these -
