• Peugeot & Citroen cooling fan motors 11 Jun 2007 (Forum)
  I would like to know if the two different manuafacturers of radiator cooling fan motors for the Peugeot/Citroen range are interchangeable? I am talking about a 1999 306 1.6 petrol, but there seems to be lots of PSA models covered by these parts. The two types are either GATE or ECIA. Even the main dealer asked which type were fitted to my car (some help the chassis number is to them!)

  I have an L reg citroen ZX 1.9 diesel and after driving for about 5 minutes the engine oile temperature guage gradually sneaks up to the red. In addition, NO heat is coming out of the air fan heaters for the inside of the car.

  I started the process on monday afternoon, so less than 4 days from placing order to delivery. And that includes the car coming from Citroen allocated stock in my color of choice. I would have no hesitation in recomending the broker - ask for Laurence and mention the hj site. I just hope the car is as good as the delivery process.

  I've my Citroen C3 1.4SX for just over a month, and thought that i would post some feedback on it. It's 54 reg. I love: The high seating position The nice big buttons The intuitive controls The looks I like: The boot, which is fairly big given the size of the car The fuel economy, which at 37mpg around town is OK.

  A friend recently purchased a J reg 5 door citroen AX tzx 1.4 for £300 with only 66k on the clock. Alternator died, so he has had fitted a new alternator and battery by his brother. Since then the battery warning light stays on all the time - but the car has been used everyday without fault for the past month.

  Just been offered a pre-reg 52 (reg 3 weeks ago, still in wax)5 miles on the clock Picasso 2.0 Hdi SX in silver by my local dealer for immediate delivery for £11,240 OTR and he's offered to take my 1992 ZX diesel Citroen Aura as a trade in for £1,000 off that price, i.e. £10,240. Not being well-versed in buying new motors, this sounds like a good deal considering I can have it now and dont have to travel halfway across the UK to get it.

  Any Citroen experts out there? I bought a Berlingo Diesel on a 51 plate at the tail end of last year. It has the 1.9 DW8 engine with electronic engine management (Non HDI) and has done around 30,000 miles. I bought it because of the supposed reliability of PSA diesel engines..

  The clutch on my 1997/56k Citroen ZX 1.4i seems to be pretty worn. I'm basing this on: Slightly awkward, scrapey gear change, improved a little but not cured by greasing linkage joints; slowly worsening over time. High biting point; lowering biting point makes gear change worse.
