  Has anyone any experience of "chiping" an Omega V6. Apparently things have to be done to the ECU otherwise the chip change wont work. Can anyone help with facts rather than assumptions on this one please. Thanks

  Hi, i have got a mk3 fiesta that i was told had a fuel pump problem, i have changed the fuel pump and sender unit, but still wont start, have had ecu diagnosis, and apparently faults couldnt be cleared and need new ecu, engine fires up, and cranks, but wont go that bit further, Have beem trying 2 get the old ECU out, but cant unclip it.........any ideas please!!!

  He said that he has never seen this before and it could be the ECU that is a fault, on the other hand he has never seen a bosch ECU go wrong like this before so it is more likley to be a wiring problem. The really odd thing is when he checked the mileage my car has done the ECU is reporting a meer 87,000,000 km (I haven't added extra zeros, it is eighty seven million kilometers).

  My partner - who under step-by-step instruction from galaxy gearbox specialist garage had fitted the previous 3 not-quite-suitable gearbox ECUs and so really did know which part he needed - read the part number off the side of original gearbox ECU in car to mechanic to ensure no mistakes. To cut long painful story short, Ford main dealer say they have received and fitted an ENGINE ECU, and further they insist that this is what we ordered(?????)

  Hi, I have a 2002 1.6 16v astra and it won't start! I have been told its the ecu/immobiliser playing up. I haven't got any fault codes I can pass on but I know it could be a hundred and one different things but question is...... Is it worth buying a 2nd hand kit off eBay or similar that consists of the ecu, the transponder ring thingy and a key chip?

  I've had my corsa easytronic for 2 years with no problems but then all of a sudden it wouldn't start and F flashed on the dashboard. By looking at this forum it seemed to be an ECU problem, and the code was P1607 so we sent it off for ECU repair. It went to the netherlands and took two weeks and after putting it back on the car it still wouldnt start. The code is now P1730 clutch actuator.

  Has anybody experience of removing the ABS ECU from the hydraulic unit? Haynes as usual says dealer job as Hydraulic unit has to be removed & fluid must not be lost from it. what a great design the earlier model ECU was under the passenger seat easy to remove etc - progress?????????

  HI all, I hear all this talk of "scanning codes" from ECU's to help diagnose problems. What would I need to scan the codes on my car with an ABK engine and Bosch (I believe) ECU. I have heard of a ross tech cable and VAG.COM, is that right. Also where do you plug these into the car?

  Hello I have just purchased a 06 plate Mondeo Ghia X 2.0 Petrol 11,000 miles How do I reset the ECU Can i just remove the ECU fuse from the fuse box will that do the trick.   It came with a reco fuel pump which I was keen to use. Now I find out that it would appear that the pump is coded to the key/ECU as it objects to the new pump. All is fine if I temporarily wire the old pump back on. So.... how do I get the new pump to live happily with the exisiting key and ECU?
