• VAG 1.9 TDI - Procedure for re-connecting DPF back to turbo? 14 Jul 2020 (Forum)
  It seems like the V band clamp is almost too small to clamp onto the turbo AND the lip of the DPF, however this is the one that was removed....Should I be using a new V band clamp?  Does the dpf connect 'into' the turbo itself or does it simply line up with the face of it? If anyone has a link to any clear images it would be greatly appreciated!

  Hi, I'm looking at the new Mazda 3 Diesel and wonder whether anyone has experienced any issues, particularly around DPF/Turbo problems. May also consider the Mazda 165 Petrol version.  Any thoughts generally would be appreciated

  Limp mode happens rarely but car can be driven again after 15 minutes. Will a hard drive (how hard?) regenerate the dpf. problem - hardly any dual carriageway in my part of Norfolk. Can I use A roads in a lower gear?

  The new 1.5 Diesel Nissan Note from November is Euro 5, 110g/km and has a DPF.Can anyone advise if the current model, Euro 4, 115g/km has one? I realise all Diesels will have DPFs fitted before long, does that mean that they will all be unsuitable for town driving due to regeneration issues? Many thanks

  For the DPF I've seen other places advertising a similar service "from £99"  but whether this is actually true or not I don't know. Does anyone know what it would normally cost and is £300-400 excessive?

  I understand people are having issues with the EGR/DPFs etc, but without knowing the failure / issue rate I don't know if it's similar to being struck by lightening at one end of the spectrum, or getting grey hair at the other.

  Has anyone used a OBD2 ELM327 coupled with Torque Pro app and managed to access DPF data such as pressure (that one at least) or even saturation %, last regen... Or maybe I cannot see the sensors available to view on the Torque app because citroen ECU management is not allowing it?

  Hello All, I'm aware of the DPF issues the 2.0D Mazda6 (08 onwards) suffers from. However, does the newer 2.2D engine have the same complaint? Anything else to be aware of, or is the latest incarnation now a well sorted car? As always, i appreciate your opinions.

  Flashing DPF light on dashboard 13/02/12.  Mazda dealer diagnostic revealed no fault on DPF, light caused by their failure to reset car computer after service in July 2011.  Will this have had any adverse effect on the DPF/engine to date or cause any premature failings in the future?

  I was just wondering whether I'm being too paranoid about having a 4WD with a DPF or are they actually as bad as they appear to be? My annual mileage will be around 11K and a good 90% of it will be short trips of maybe 20 miles or so. As in 10 miles each way. Obviously this is going to begin to clog up a DPF pretty quickly.

  Success.. This whole process took just under 1yr!!! 2. Two months later DPF light came on (regularly).. BMW performed a forced regeneration. I also noticed that when it came back from BMW the MPG had gone down considerably... 3. Two months later.. dpf light came on again (regularly).

  and on resets the EML, also wipes any code it may be logging.   Upon learning that the DPF has been cut out, and the fact it can ping on only at 70mph (when the DPF would usually regen?), would you guys think that the ECU hasn't been remapped properly when the work was done?   Seems to me that the EML is being pinged because it's forcing the DPF regen, when there isn''t a DPF there?

  The DPF has recently been taken off the car and manually cleaned of ash and the DPF sensor is new. I also believe 600 grams is a wildly unrealistic number for soot in the DPF?)    Even stranger, the reported distance since last DPF regeneration rises much faster than the distance I travel.

  Seen a few of these Astra h diesel pre dpf 1.7 for cheap. Just wondering if it’s worth a punt for couple of grand. Decent miles. Or is it too risky? If it needs a bit spending on it I’m not bothered for that money. I’d try and get the newest one I can.

  Hello, Anti pollution warning on dash, EML and restricted to about 2.5k revs. Looking to pull dpf and do out of car cleaning. Anybody suggest good product for this or alternative method or any other ideas? I've blanked the EGR with no difference, aim to remove blank. Any advice most welcome.

  [endif]--> I am considering buying my first diesel car. It will be used, 2004/5. Given all the negative press about DPF’s on this site I’m wondering if this age of car is likely to have one.   Hi, Does any one know if the 1.3CDTi engine in the Astra has a DPF? The model I am looking at is the 2006 version and its in tax band D if that makes a difference? Also is this a good engine? Does it have anything to look out for or is it a steer clear engine like the 1.9CDTi?

  My 2016 C4 was recalled to have the cat replaced under warranty. Whilst at the garage i asked if the recently illuminated warning light showing a DPF fault was anything related and was advised that it was not. I went to another independant garage that i've used before and asked them to clear the errors, DPF and sensor, to see iof they returned after the new cat was fitted and they have.
