Staged over the weekend of 23 to 24 June, the event - which is organised by Volkswagen Driver magazine and sponsored by Revo Technik - celebrates its 25 th anniversary this year, and it promises to be the biggest and best yet.

  New Volkswagen Golf GTI revealed 27 Feb 2020 (News)
  Other distinguishing features of the GTE include a lack of visible tailpipes, while the digital instrument panel and infotainment screen feature GTE-specific efficiency displays. Finally, the diesel GTD is set to continue to be a popular model with performance Volkswagen fans, despite the brand's obvious move towards electrification. This uses a 200PS turbodiesel engine with a hefty 400Nm of torque, along with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox as standard.  Fuel economy or performance figures are yet to be announced for the GTD, too, although Volkswagen is promising 'high efficiency levels'.

  Volkswagen  has confirmed that production of its Beetle will come to an end in 2019 - but insisted it would 'never say never' about a return for the iconic model. The manufacturer launched the original Beetle as the people's car under Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany in 1938.

  Volkswagen has premiered the all-new Tiguan at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 . The compact SUV is 50kg lighter and 24 per cent more efficient than the model it replaces, with eight engines to choose from and the possibility of a plug-in hybrid powertrain being added in 2016.  The new Volkswagen Tiguan will rival the Nissan Qashqai and should reach the UK before the end of 2015.

  A Grand Monday: Skoda Felicia LXi Plus 14 Oct 2019 (News)
  The Felicia was both a first and last for Skoda insofar as it was the last Skoda made on one of the brand’s own platforms, but the first to benefit from Volkswagen Group technology. Volkswagen had bought Skoda in 1993 and decreed that the Favorit be updated and moved slightly more upmarket before work began on a bespoke range of Volkswagen-based Skodas, so the was effectively a reskin of its predecessor but with much improved interior quality and some Volkswagen Group engine choices to complement the tried-and-tested Skoda unit.  It was one of the best budget cars of its era, but a quarter of a century since its debut, the Felicia is now a rare car, with the vast majority having been run into the ground and scrapped.  That makes  this example  an extremely rare survivor, especially as it’s a pre-facelift car from the first year of production.
