New Golf Plus unveiled

Wed, 03 Dec 2008
The second generation Golf Plus has been unveiled by Volkswagen at the Bologna Motor Show in Italy today, in motoring news which may be of interest to people thinking about buying a car next year.

According to the carmaker, the updated model bears a resemblance to the sixth generation hatchback version of the vehicle and has a dynamic and distinctive appearance.

The manufacturer explained there had been internal and external improvements made to the motor.

Volkswagen said: "The new Golf Plus reaches a new level of quality, while continuing to be one of the most practical and versatile vehicles in its class.

Prices for the model - as well as details on engines and specifications - are due to be released closer to the car's launch date in spring 2009.

In other Volkswagen news, the manufacturer recently said its team was ready for the first South American Dakar Rally, which is due to get underway in January.
