  Well, what did I tell you? This 185k mile 93L Lexus, previously bid to £1,200 provisional had a bid of £1,200 accepted today. Just £2,100 bought an 111k mile Y reg Mondeo 2.0 Zetec estate. A 33k mile Mercedes E220CDI Classic sold for £8,500.

  UK Car of the Year winners announced 10 Jan 2018 (News)
  BMW was the only manufacturer to pick up more than one award as the 5 Series scooped the top honour in the Best Executive category, while the Touring version was named Best Estate. Peugeot and Lexus picked up their first category wins as the 3008  was named Best Family car and the LC won the Best Coupe class (in fact, the LC was one of our favourite cars to drive last year).

  Taking the title given to Toyota last year, Mazda also saw off competition from runners-up Audi, BMW, Lexus and Honda. Racing legend Sir Stirling Moss OBE presented the award at the ceremony at the British Museum to Mazda managing director Rob Lindley. The firm was praised for its "blend of excellent value for money, reliability and innovation".
