  We have an Audi 80 16V (1993). The woofer in one of the rear door panels has blown. Apart from going to Audi (at their sometimes silly prices), has anyone got any ideas? I don't think that I can stand the hassle of 'phoning around every local breakers...

  Hi guys, I need help, I drive a 2010 Audi A3 1.4TSI (92kw - Petrol), the car is now 15 months old with 26 000km on the clock. Up to 23 000km - no issues, but then the car started to accelerate in a jerking motion, would lose power and sometime, I wouldn't even be able to get it to 120km/h on a level road.

  I need to get shot of the car quick, so I've taken it to a local independent Audi dealer purely with a view to settling the finance. The first thing they said when they saw the service book was "this is an import". And sure enough, it is Now the price I paid (22k) was the price of a UK car, and Audi never mentioned it was an import.

  I have literally no confidence in these people and it worries me that had I not been on the ball, the gearbox failure could have locked the wheels and put me through the crash barrier upside down! I spoke with Audi Finance and because the supplying dealer (Hull Audi) dont think its grounds for a refund, only an exchange (no details on the terms!) was offered. Bearing in mind, Hull Audi have not been involved in the issues since March, they dont know the full range of problems I'm still having.

  I had an issue with air condition on my 2.0ltr 59 plate Audi A5. The garage i took car for repair diagnosed air condition unit would need to be replaced. I was told that new air con unit from Audi parts dealership would cost me in the region of £900 , however he could fit new air con unit that was not from Audi dealer for £400.

  Many thanks, Andrew   and the answer: No, won't have caused damage. But this is the second time I have heard of an Audi dealer putting a car out on storage tyre pressures. This is actually very common but proves that the pre-delivery inspection was not carried out correctly so you should seek some acknowledgement of that from the Audi dealer.

  This is similar to a post I made in July last year! My daughter decided to bite the bullet and buy another car, given the audi a3 she purchased last year has had problem after problem, to the point of costing her a fortune in repaires. We saw a lovely Audi A3 advertised by a dealer last week (A3 hatchback, 2004, 1.6 , 65.000 miles, I owner from new and looks spanking new, service history etc.

  Driving home from the dealer, the dash now rattles which drives me crazy and am worried that once the car is taken apart it may get worse - again no criticism of the dealer, just general experience of life !   I am in the nice position of looking forward to buying a virtually new premium hatchback. Shortlist is Merc A class, BMW 1 series and Audi A3. Are there any I’ve missed? Want an auto, preferably diesel and nice quality interior. Not a fan of small petrol engines so ruling out 1.3 and 1.5 engines in Mercedes and BMW. Audi 1.5 seems a better prospect as a petrol so not ruled out.

  There is no way of accessing those smears from behind by dismantling the rear view mirror housing apparently. Can I tell AG, I want my local Audi dealership to take care of the replacement screen? Do the same laws apply as if one were rejecting a car within 30 days? The screen is under warranty but I am worried about what they will break or fit incorrectly next.

  Hi, on my 2013 audi a4 2.0 tdi with 110k miles it shakes when accelerating on throttle, for example 60mph in 6th gear and put your foot in gradually the shake goes though the car and can see the gear stick shaking. The shake seems to be able to be controlled with the throttle, doesn't seem to come through the steering wheel  I have had it checked over by a reputable mechanic and he could not see anything wrong in terms of cv joints etc.

  It's obvious that carting around an extra ton of mass will need a significantly larger amount of energy than a much lighter similar sized box on wheels.   I think the Audi extra-ton might need to burn more fossil fuel for its energy than an X-trail does.   What do scientifically educated backroomers think?  (minimum 'O' or GCSE Physics C grade and above, please)

  Advice needed So we had our Audi stolen around a year go... we sent all the paperwork in like the V5 and keys etc and subsequently received a pay out. we received a letter from the insurance company in November this year saying they no longer have an interest in the private plate so we can now retain the plate, after doing some digging we have found out the car has been found in Durham .... admiral have sent us the log book back which is still in our name as proof for dvla for the plate.

  Its been good, but now on 105K, showing its age and I'm ready for a change. Owned it from new.  Requirement: Quite big, quite fast.  What I want is an Audi S4 Avant.  My issue is that at 20K miles a year the running costs will be excessive.  Looking at the Passat Estate BiTTi which is still pretty fast but way more economical.   it is, however, a diesel and I'm a bit scared of going that route...

  Eighteen months ago, I had a body repair to the wing & driver's door of my 65-plate Audi A3 via insurance, after the car was damaged while parked. The paperwork from the insurance-approved repairer offers a guarantee to paintwork for as long as I own the car. The edge of the driver's door where it meets the wing is now starting to peel away showing rust underneath - either not finished correctly at the join, or there is also a rubber strip inside the wing which seems to be slightly askew and perhaps wasn't aligned properly and has been rubbing on the edge of the door when it opens.

  I'm looking for: Reliability, Comfort, Effortless drivability, Diesel or Petrol Hybrid, Automatic, Economical However, I'm gonna be working in North Yorkshire (quite a lot of country lanes) so was also contemplating 4x4. Well after watching various Youtube vids. Audi's Quattro seems far superior to any other 4x4. Cars I have been looking at are a very mixed bag 1) MB S Class 2) BMW 7 series 3) BMW 5 GT Series 4) Audi A6 Avant 5) Audi A8 6) Lexus GS300h Yes I'm not asking for much lol.

  A friend of mine has just purchased an Audi A3 (56 plate) but, unfortunately, it's only been supplied with one remote key (the only key!)  He would obviously like to obtain a spare. I know the key contains an immobiliser chip so is it just a matter of buying another key on Ebay (or similar) and using the existing key to program the new one, or is this a main dealer or specialist locksmith job?

  My daughter has just taken delivery of an Audi A1 1.4 S  TFSI  S Line on the NHS lease scheme and as I went out for a little test drive, I wondered how we could tell if the engine was a 150 BHP or the lesser 125 BHP. Now, the 150 which she ordered has the cylinder on demand feature that closes down 2 cylinders under light load but I actually didn't feel that this happened at all.

  Hi there I've just taken a deposit from a private buyer for our Audi TT which has a private plate on it. We would like to keep the plate and put it on retention and put the original plates (we physically have them) back on the car for the new owner. I realise this will cost us £105.

  Audi, BMW, Land-Rover, Jaguar etc are making car designers redundant. Apparently they are no longer needed. Any of the staff can now create a new model by just increasing or decreasing size. To differentiate between models the font and rear lights will be changed a little while acrease line along flanks will be moved, up, down, angled or delted to make side views distinct.
