My Vectra 1.9 CDTi SRi 150 Auto is currently at the main dealers [and has been for a week already] waiting for an EGR valve - a common fault by all accounts. Anyone know what the lead time on these things is, as Vauxhall have no idea? -

ldv gearbox and peugeot diesel 18 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Am i correct in thinking the LDV pilot is rwd and uses a peugeot 1.9 diesel engine. Is this the same as in the 405, 406 etc? Leading on from this do the HDI engines now in the 406 use the same gearboxes as the old 1.9 i.e are the bellhousings the same? does this mean it would be possible to put a HDI engine in an LDV van (albeit alot of work) -

I ran out of petrol (tried to start this morning and jerking) i got about half a mile before it could not start at all. I put some petrol in, and reset the ecu by taking off the negative battery lead. car is xantia 1.8 16v Will i have done any damage to the cat or any other components? its running back to normal now. -

I have a '97 2.0 litre vectra(ecotech), I have a misfire on number 1 cylinder, very good spark at all the others, have replaced plugs and HT leads, have also done a continuity check on low voltage side of coil pack both are same 2ohms can the fault be in anything else but the coil pack, that I can check before replacing it? -

I have noticed that with the onset of the cold weather the starter is cranking a little more slowly,leading me to believe that the battery power is down. I took the covers off the elements, expecting to be able to see the fluid levels, but couldn't see any fluid. Are you supposed to top up these types of batteries with distilled water? -

f=4&t=6165 He has had both rocker covers and gaskets replaced at local garage (from the good garage list). At the same time he took the opportunity to replace the HT leads and spark plugs and have the auto box's oil changed. The rocker covers/gaskets were sourced from Vauxhall's and the HT Leads and sparks were from Autovaux. All parts were supplied after the engine number was given so he's confident they were correct. -

I have a T-Reg 1999 mk4 ford fiesta Zetec-S 1.25 16v At the moment my car is not idling very well and it also has a misfiring problem???? I have changed all the spark plugs and I have also put a new set of ignition leads(HT leads)on too!!
