  With winter well on the way, I think it might be time I gave my battery a bit of a boost. I do a lot of driving in the dark and its quite infrequent, 2 things which don't help the battery much. I got in it yesterday, after it had sat a few days (and was also bitter cold) and it didn't turn over with its usual enthusiasm.

  By doing this this codes & memories are retained while you change the battery. I have gone through the circuit diagram for the carlton & it would put power back to the ignition switch. Obviously, if you have a completely flat battery they have gone anyway but batteries usually lose 1 cell first, not enough volts/amps to start a motor but enough to retain memories.

  Hello, My 1930 Ford has a 6v battery. But there are no markings showing which terminal is + or - I know this is hard to believe. But there are no markings. Is there a way of finding out which is which using a multimeter or such like?

  Not sure I would buy another next base cam  14 months old and the battery is goosed  Next base not interested in any Goodwill claim saying the recent heatwave would have caused the battery malfunction  Hmm strange that that a device designed to sit behind a windscreen in all weathers has a weak battery
