Lexus boss EV warning 23 Jul 2018 (Forum)
Thank goodness we have at last an Emporers new clothes situation from one of the worlds leading companies in alternative power trains. One element that seems to have been overlooked is the need for a high amperage outlet in every house to cope with a quick charge for EVs and the infrastructure may not be there. -
Another reason to increase taxes on car use? 17 Mar 2018 (Forum)
Ok - they've done the lead in petrol, then the plant food gas, then NOX, then diesel particulates. All have been good for inventing new taxes for governments to fill their coffers. Next it's pollution from tyres. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-39042655 -
Zafira - Battery Cables corroded 7 Jan 2017 (Forum)
Is it possible to replace the cable running from the battery to the car? Our black lead has totally corroded half way down (looks like a long standing battery leak which went unnoticed) The car works but the battery needs manually charging once a week Thanks in advance -

pcn dropped kerb 1 Dec 2012 (Forum)
I parked in a side road with no yellow lines, warning signs or notices, on a dropped kerb with a solid brick wall in front of it leading nowhere, in which I recieved a pcn. On any day of the week cars are always parked along every inch of this road as space is limited in the area. Are the charges justified in this case. -
Passat airbag warning lights 4 Feb 2012 (Forum)
Sorry if this is a rather simple and silly question but my airbag warning light on my '99 Passat just came on. I was wondering if it could be a simple thing or something a bit more complex that would lead me to hand it in to a local garage. Any advice would be appreciated. Thx. S. -

Spark plugs 12 Jul 2006 (Forum)
Question is why do they come with a silver bit that you screw on the end (over the end that connects to the lead) and do you need to put this silver bit on? If you do need to put it on then why not make them that way in the first place? Hope this makes sense. thanks -
American Diesel 22 Jun 2006 (Forum)
Is the quality of diesel in the USA still terrible? Or is the 'diesel boom' leading to better quality? I ask because VW diesels are the most popular there for cars (I think) so if they can run to hundreds of thousands of miles on what they sell there, our highly refined diesel should mean a very low stressed fuel system. -

The ugliest car on the road 7 Aug 2003 (Forum)
Just seen the Porsche Cayenne in the flesh for the first time and I can honestly say that it is nothing like what you see in the photos....it's even uglier. For all those who think that BMW have lost the plot, Porsche really are leading the way. Is there an uglier car out there than the Cayenne? -
