Good afternoon folks. Can someone answer me a question please? Do brake pads still contain asbestos? I only ask because I thought they didn't but I saw some the other say that said "Asbestos Free" leading me to believe that others aren't.

No they dont and havent done for years.that appies to rear shoes and clutch plate.I cant remember how long ago but it was made illegal to use.for very good reasons.a recent post mentioned that some containers/manuals still mention it ie beware of inhaling brake dust.this still applies.
