• Brake light circuit 28 Sep 2001 (Forum)
  Lately I have been getting a brake light circuit warning on my 95M BMW Coupe automatic. This warning light comes on intermittently and mostly occurs in the middle of the journey. I have checked that the brake lights and found both are working even when the warning appears. Does everyone have any ideas what is wrong?

  I own a 1994 Volvo 2-litre automatic which has done 65,000 miles and is serviced regularly by the local Volvo dealership. It has recently developed a loud whistle when first driven from cold. The noise comes whilst accelerating and continues until the engine warms up (5 to 10 mintes), it then stops and the car runs normally whilst the engine is warm.

  My imported Honda Stream, which may have to be pensioned off, has a hard drive to automatically record all the CDs that are played. We have 125 albums on it and counting. This is a very useful feature. -Far more convenient than playing music from a mobile phone, even with bluetooth. Does anyone tell me which other cars, preferably meant for the British market,  have this feature?

  I’m looking at buying a used F30 320D M sport automatic. Miles are around 80-100k. Does anyone have any advice and what I should be looking for in the car when buying in terms of service history etc? Any faults in this car that should have been addressed in servicing up until 80-100k mile mark?

    I hevent had the chance to test drive one but I have mixed views about it.   however, I do like the fact that some have climate control, automatic, sat nav and cruise control. potentially not a bad buy second hand. Am I wrong ?

  Have seen that a cable runs from each rear drum and the dissapears behind the heatshield etc up to the handbrake lever am at a loss of how this adjustment is made unless is automatic thanks in advance for your help

  I have a problem with my allroad (2.5tdi 2002 automatic). When I try to engage drive all the dashboard lights that indicate which gear I am in come on together and the car will not move. If I switch the engine off and try again the problem goes away after one or two attempts.

  I have a Volvo V70 D5 diesel automatic, 2004.  A few months ago a slight vibration used to occur between about 60 and 65 mph.  Now the vibration occurs between about 60 and 75mph. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

  Looking to treat myself to a 2/3 year old E Class saloon. Needs to be automatic and I quite fancy the flippy paddles to gearshift.  I like my cars to be fairly quick  but not to AMG standard. Therefore fuel economy is not an issue here. Can anybody recommend a model and also what models should I avoid.

  The rear brake caliper piston requires winding back into the cylinder to change the pads. Questions are precisely what tool is required, who sells it, and does the handbrake automatically self adjust? Finally is it safe to put a spot of engine oil to seep down the handbrake pivot in the calliper or are there plastic bushes in there? All help gratefully received.
