Except a friend who owns one says there not quite cars and are loud i have not found this to be the case when test driving a few.  A quite car is important as i have a hearing problem and therefore need a quite car.

Merc c class 220 and sport estate Audi (facelift) A6 tdi s line/black edition estate BMW 520d m sport estate Concerns are Audi and BMW are a bit dated inside and the Audi is due for replacement next year. Merc is very nice but maybe a tad small?

  Hello Guys Going to a car auction tomorrow to buy a 3 yr old audi a6 avant. In the Appraisal report it says "Qtr Panel nsr; Poor Previous Repair; Rippled UpTo 30% & Bumper Front; Dented; With Paint Damage" Does this mean it has been in some sort of accident and i should steer clear of it especially the word ripples sound like the possible crash sent ripples through the body or does it mean the paint job has ripples?

  A front wheel puncture on a car with Quattro transmission has recently meant a new tyre where all others have about 5mm of tread. The Audi dealer stated that they do not recommend more than a 2mm difference across the axles and no more than 3mm front to back. The Tyre Dealer, who would obviously gain the sale of at least two more tyres and probably three if we stuck to the dealer's recommendations, said that the differences should be OK.

  First..I've had lots of cars including petrol , high milegae diesels etc so not generally all the pitfalls and arguments or petrols vs diesel etc as I will be doing about 6k miles a year ..BUT I dont know these cars..I have around £ 1200 to spend on a car which generally will be used locally, once a week to visit clients(50miles) and 2 or 3 times a year trips to cornwall(300miles)... BMW 520i petrol BMW 525D VW Passat 1.9 Tdi Jag XType 2.0D Audi A4 1.9 Tdi Saab 9-3 2.0 Petrol I am not a mechanic but I have a brilliant independent guy that saves me money Cheers
