Declaring accident repair work at sale - Dan_ea_uk
Hi,

I had a small accident, it got repaired by authorised repairers etc so is pristine etc

Do i declare this when selling the car? Im trying to sell privately and seeing what dealers can offer too...

thanks for asking.

the bottom line is this:

if you are NOT asked the question, DONT provide answers = that is the law for private sellers!!

however, if i was you and you appear to be a honest guy - tell them if you wish and give them evidence re main dealer puka repair - honesty counts as well

This is a conscience thing really....i've been asked if it has any dents/dings (by a non audi dealer looking for stock).....from which it dosn't....so im not lieing here!

Also remembering I had to do the running around and use an approved repairer...to not be in this position when selling!
