  A very poor showing from  Mitsubishi who appreantly have been aware of this fault for a number of years, but have refused to do a recall especially has coolant leaking out is an enviromental issue!

  I’m guessing from the high HC that the car is running rich, unsure on what to change/check next. Only things i can think of to replace would be engine coolant sensor and fuel filter.   It sounds like a glass bottle being filled with water and when full it then 're-fills' so to speak, straight away or some minutes later. Vauxhall advised that it was due to an air lock in the coolant but bleeding didn't stop it. Then they said that it was air bubbles in the Fuel system and a replacement Fuel Filter was required, This was done but the noise continues! I've NOW been told that it's an inherent fault in, not only Zafiras, but also Astras!

    Apart from oil change, air filter, spark plugs what other checks and lubrication are required?  I will adjust the handbrake, the coolant isn't that old so will leave that, might change the gearbox oil and cabin filter.  Are all the suspension components etc. checked during the MOT? Is there anything like that not covered which needs checking?

  I have a ford Fiesta Flight on a 51 plate. The heater is only blowing cold air. I have checked the coolant level and this is on Max and also flushed out the heater matrix. As the pipes were cold after the heater control value and hot before it, I replaced the heater control valve. but the heater is still blowing cold air, and the pipes are the same cold on one side hot on the other.

  My problem is when stuck in traffic the temperature guage gets hotter and hotter, and it seems to be a very high temp before the radiator fan kicks in.   The car does not overheat any over time and does not lose coolant, no signs of head gasket problems.   Could the radiator be clogged due to lack of use for many years, or likely a thermostat problem.   Many thanks

  The fan doesn't come on, And I don't know if this is because the gauge only goes to 80before the water is boiling. the heating system inside the car pushes out hot and cold air so no issue there. I still haven't manually test to d c if the fan is working, but was wondering if the coolant temperature sensor could be the fault? Any help will b most appreciate. Thanks

  Having trouble with a 206 1.4 hdi 2005, runs ok for a few minutes or more and then I loose heater blowers, rev counter, rear heater, coolant temp guage.  I have checked the engine fuse box and even swaped it for a known good unit. On this box is the heater blower fuse and relay and when the fault is occurring I have a power to the relay but do not have an earth!

    A little looking around and notice coolant level was very low, so have topped that off but that is more than likely a separate issue. Any ideas of what it could be?

  A picture for the fuses and their location would be very nice. I also has this issue with my car, when my speed exceed 90km/hr the engine coolant temperature jumps suddnly to the maximum. This happens always when I drive down a steep. Please advise what may cause this. THNXXXXxxxxxxx
• 2001 peugeot expert 2.0 hdi van - speedo failure 14 Oct 2014 (Forum)
  Had a number of problems happen to my van started with speedo failure, then temp gauge and coolant fan giving up. I replaced the fan, temp sensor and then Ecu anti start system and barrel, also the speedo sensor.  Temp gauge now working and fan cutting in as should. But speedo still not only getting the Flickr from the needle I had before, ( tried dash in a mates hid and it works fine) Forced to drive the van to work with inop speedo the engine mmanagement light has now come on and wont go off.

  Spent over 500 on this car in the last 3 weeks roughly 1st problem was crankshaft sensor so got new one sorted, then then light was still comin on so then was told need new ecu, had that done and then the light still came on then told it was maf sensor and so changed that, thing is now I'm being told that there is water getting into the ecu and the only thing the garage can think of is is running down the loom wires and through the plug?? Anyone any idea how I can stop this or even where the water could be coming from? It isn't coolant as we are not loosing any, garage have now said need a new engine loom and I'm at my wits end

  Hi all wonder if I could have a few pointers please, I will take to a garage next week but just after some advice before. This eve I noticed water dripping from underneath I have an inkling about AC but worried about coolant pipe. It's definitely water it's clear and tasteless but why is it leaking. The car drives faultless however a few weeks ago I had the AC on for about 45 min / hour and the temp gauge nudged a tad to the right, soon as I turned AC off it went back to centre.

  They have given me amber warnings on following:   Timing belt change  Front Brake rusting Brake Fluid Change Advice rear brake clean and adjusted Front brake clean up reqd. Rear suspension coil spring rusting Coolant pressure cap stains/leak     Please can you advise to what extent i should be worrying to get these jobs done and which needs priority?
• VW Passat 2003 TDi saloon - Problem with Heater 8 Mar 2013 (Forum)
  (there was a fault code for the motor,but when motor changed no fault code now.) there is no other fault code. The water pump is working and pressure to radiator and coolant system is fine.I have carried out bleeding and there does not appear to be any blockage. There does not appear to a blockage through the cooling system including the core. and hoses. I do have some heat when control is on recirculating (engine heat. but no flow through the heater coil.

  I have been having problems with my car heater for some time.  I have tried lots of coolant and it has not worked.  When I turn the car heater to the highest setting it does not work for a good 15/20 minutes (it simply blows out cold air).  After around 20 minutes there is a crunching/grinding sound coming from the vents on the passenger side and the heater suddenly starts to work blowing out very hot air.

  I was checking it over for him and noticed that there was a thick layer of "mayonnaise" on top of the coolant in the expansion tank. However there was no sign of any under the oil filler cap, and the oil has not been changed that recently by the look of it. First thought is a blown head gasket, but other than a tendancy to get hot a bit quick (it does not overheat) it drives fine.

  The RAC towed me to a garage, who replaced the failed parts, plus the auxiliary belt as it was coated with coolant. I've since taken my Fiesta to another garage (who I believe to be a lot more reputable...) who have said that the auxiliary belt tensioner is missing, there is just a gap where it should be.
