• Honda Jazz Hybrid - Honda - HV Battery Charge Too Low to start 15 Sep 2023 (Forum)
    I have been away for about 6 weeks and left my car, and now I am getting the message: High Voltage Battery Charge Too Low - Vehicle Cannot Start with all warning lights when I attempt to start.   The 12v battery was dead, so have tried to charge it.   The EV battery is showing 0 bars.

  Garage said it was the alternator so replaced with a brand new one, said the battery was fine. However, since then the battery light has kept coming on and off, but seems to be getting more regular. Any Ideas? Thanks I’m advance.

  I had a part fitted to the exhaust yesterday and the mechanic said my battery was low on charge. So i believe the battery is losing charge and is not being charged properly when driving (i do drive it regularly).  What could be causing this?

  Recently, my daughters car (Peugeot 307 auto) had a flat battery, turned out she'd left the interia light on. For last Christmas my son had bought me an RAC Jump Starter Heavy Duty 400 amp. However, it would not start the car & we ended up taking the battery off & charging it overnight.

  I did leave the lights on while I filled up but it was for less than 5 mins.   I have had the battery tested today and the technician said the battery was strong and was charging fine. He was at a loss, any ideas?  Thanks in advance

  Parked in supermarket car park in the shop about an hour came out and there was no power in the battery at all completely dead had a jump start got home checked the car about 15 min later dead again. Charged battery and no problem since had battery checked nothing wrong no electrical shorts, any idea what could have caused this?

  Battery Leakage seems to be an ongoing problem with this model - ours is a 55 plate Tdi. Having scanned through a number of internet discussions, I've come to the conclusion that  for someone with very little in the way of a technical brain, the safest option is to invest in a spare battery and keep it in the boot (a tip from an internet sufferer).

  So... The battery had died 8v remaining because my mother had been in hospital and she could not drive for a while... I opened the bonnet, locked the doors with fob, disconnected the battery, closed the bonnet, charged the battery overnight (hence why i locked the doors)...

  I have a 2001 Peugeot 106 and for some time the battery warning light has been flickering or constantly on whilst driving. I have checked the battery connections which are fine and the battery is not flat. I have checked the alternator belt and this is fine and am aware that it could be the alternator itself.

  The owner told me afterwards that it had been useing distilled water quite a bit in a couple of cells. New battery time £37.73 later and a nice new heavy duty ( Auto ) 4 year warrantee battery. I bet that does not last 11 years. Always nice to help someone.

  I have recently purchased a Nissan Primera, and shortly after buying it started to notice a smell of rotten eggs. Basically the cause of this was the Alternator overcharging the battery, which started to dry it up and emit this smell. I got the alternator changed, and replaced the battery with one from another working car. The smell dissappered immediately. 2 weeks on, I popped open the bonnet and noticed that the tray holding up the battery, and the rod holding in place the battery, seems to be covered in what looks like dried up battery fluid (white,greyish in colour and flaky) Any ideas of what the cause of this could be, it's baffled me.

  So we replaced it and it was then running fine. Two days ago the same thing happend, again we had it tested to find this time it was the battery and again this was replaced. We then took the car for a run and with lights, wipers and fan on found the battery to be draining yet again? Does anyone have any suggestions? Did we need a battery?
