• Diesel car Shuddering!! Audi 80 TDi 14 Mar 2005 (Forum)
  Hi all I have an Audi 80 TDI 90BHP. 1994. Basically the car runs fine most of the time but when im "cruising" in fourth and fifth (doing about 40mph in fourth an 50mph in fifth) the car seems to vibrate and shudder. It is usually solved by going into a lower gear and hitting 3000 revs plus.

  I own a '94 Audi Coupe 2.0 16v which has developed a leak somewhere in the hydraulic system. The car loses hydraulic fluid regularly and at first I believed it to be an air bubble in the system, as the level would rise and fall.

  Hi Folks, Question is, ive seen an Audi (52plate) 1.9TDi Sport at a dealers website going for £13,995, 50k on the clock (id presume thats mostly motorway mileage). Within the space of a few days via email (strange i know) his knocked it down by £500 as im offering no part-ex and thats without me seeing it.

  I currently run an Audi A4 2.5 diesel Avant Quattro (1998), I do around 12k a year, wonderful car but a bit on the expensive side to run. I have recently had a bit of a braistorm and fancy running something a bit different for a while IE. a Triumph Herald/Vitesse (must be soft top even with bad the summer we are having), maintenance is not a problem I can do all that myself.

  I run a `97 A4 1.9 TDI SE with climate control.However just lately it has been giving problems.Upon engaging the aircon you can hear the pump rattling loudly.Also it does not seem to blow as cold as it did.I took the car to a trusted garage and he diagonosed the pump bearings were "gone".He seemed to think the pump wasn`t worth rebuilding and advised me to take it to an audi dealer for a new pump.This course of action I do not want to do.Can anyone suggest someone willing to repair the pump/system rather than just replace the pump with a new one?.Also a second hand pump would be good enough for what is now an old car.Any suggestions are very welcome.

  I am in the market for a sporty diesel (i do a lot of biz miles and need something more economical than a gtv),smaller than the BMW, but bigger and more reliable than an alfa gtv. I am considering the audi TDI 2.0 s, the Seat Leon 1.9 TDi sport,or cupra or a Saab (not sure which model). Any guidance,comments,or reviews would be appreciated. My budget is up to c£20,000, although a lot depends on the PX value of the Alfa.

  I have a 99 2.5 tdi audi A4 which has an intermittent fuel leak. Having picked it up and filled it up there appeared a leak under the car. Took it to my local garage who informed me I must have overfilled the car as there was no leak evident to them.

  I have a UK 1998 Audi A6 with the 2.5 V6 TDI engine, with 140,000 miles. The engine does not start particularly easily when cold (even in summer) and often requires several goes on the starter motor until it catches on enough cylinders for the engine to run.

  Advice needed please. The coolant temp gauge on my Audi A4 has started to return to the minimum (60) setting for a few minutes and then returning to the usual mid setting (90). Then a few mins klater will repeat this. No apparent reason, I\'m usually cruising at 65-70.

• Audi 80 temperature gauge 2 Jun 2003 (Forum)
  Please forgive me if this problem has been covered before as I have been told it is a common problem with this car. My 1994 Audi 80 2.0E type B4 ABK engine has a temperature guage that works intermittently. I have replaced the sender but this has made no difference. I am sure the thermostat is OK as the heater output seems fine and the top hose gets hot.

  Whilst walking to the station this morning, I witnessed a car reverse out of his drive and into an Audi parked on the street opposite. As he quickly drove off without investigating, it seems likely that he will not contact the Audi owner. I feel morally obliged to do something, esp. as I was the only witness, although the damage did not seem great in the darkness, it will undoubtedly cost money to rectify.
