  My wife is the 2nd owner of a very tidy & reliable W reg fiesta with 27,000 genuine miles on the clock,sadly  the quick clear windscreen has stopped working, such a shame in the winter months when it is needed most. Does anyone know if there is an easily rectified fault with the quickclear  system on this vehicle  ?

   I have removed the scuttle and it seems the ribbon has snapped off at the connector. It looks like the ribbon comes from the windscreen then in to a black plastic square (i guess a connector) which then connects to the main terminal via a wire. The ribbon is broken right by this black plastic square, is there any way to replace or repair this?

  Question - how good does a replacement windscreen done under insurance have to be ? I ask because I recently had the screen on my New Beetle replaced after a nasty crack, and I have just noticed, not having driven it since the replacement, and large optical distortion about half-way down, which was not there before.

  hi all, it looks like im going to have to replace the windscreen on my volvo soon due to a large chip in the line of vision does any one have any views on replacement screens, is it best to stick out for a genuine volvo item or are people like autoglasses screens just as good?

  About 2 years ago I had a 307 with the 1.6hdi unit, this was the version with the Injectors at the front of the engine.  All wasok until the usual problem with this engine occured, the Injector Seals.  From my understanding of the cause centered on the injector mounting studs and incorrect servicing allowing Aftrer 2 attempts at sorting the problem, I eventurally became sick and traded in on for my current car, which I am looking to swap later this year for a small SUV, a 2008/Captur or a C Max I am a little worried that 2 of these vehicles had the HDI unit, be that the later generation with thhe injectors at the back, away from the heat of the turbo and EGR, could suffer the same problem.
