Jaguar XK120 racer to headline Coys auction 16 Aug 2017 (News)
The Jaguar, nicknamed ‘Piggy’, will go under the hammer at Coys Thoroughbred And Vintage sale, which is held in the heart of the Sussex Downs, just a few miles up the road from the Goodwood Revival. ‘Piggy’ is one of only 184 left-hand drive alloy-bodied roadsters and was delivered new to Charles Hornburg in Los Angeles, USA. He was the first importer of Jaguar automobiles to the United States and a competition specialist responsible for the sale of some of the very important racing Jaguars in the 1950s, including lightweight XK120s, C-types and D-types. -
Record price set for Peugeot 205 GTI 2 Aug 2017 (News)
The car was first registered to the Peugeot Talbot Motor Company and offered as a prize in association with ‘Grattan’, the catalogue clothing retailer. The car was won by a lady from Ipswich, who was unable to drive. The woman’s husband collected the car on her behalf and kept it garaged and maintained before selling it in 2012.
