  My local garage recommends air con cleaning out every two years. Is this necessary?

  Car picked up a small crack (centre of passenger side) on Friday. Autowindsreens (insurance co's operator) are coming to repair/replace Monday. It's £60 excess for replacement, FOC for repair, so my cynical view is they will push for replacement.

  Morning all, I've just had my girlfriend's daughter on the phone in tears and some scrote thought that it'd be a giggle to smash her windscreen. So, while she rang the police etc I rang around for quotes for a replacement in case her insurance didn't cover it. Auto Windscreens quoted me £167 fitted, while Autoglass quoted £407. I cannot believe the difference in price here.

  This evening when I started the windscreen wipers, there was a blue flash beneath the steering binnacle, and the windscreen wipers and screen wash squirters would not function. In fact the wipers are stuck in mid wipe. Can anyone please suggest a fix?

  After the changing the vents to hot air full blast re-directing it to the windscreen it took ages to de-mist the windscreen especially at the driver's half of the windscreen! Should have i done anythin to prevent it misting like that in the first place? -- Its not what you drive, its how you drive it!

  I have tried all the usual diagnosis mentioned on other websites (taken battery out and cleaned drain holes, sealed around pollen filter etc) but still to no avail. It has now got to a point where we will sell the car as it is so frustrating I sprayed the hose on the windscreen and doors yesterday and could not detect any water leak. Can anyone recommend any advice? With just the back drivers footwell wet there is no visable signs of it leaking from the front.

  due to a clerical error, one of our super high mileage company cars had to have an mot organised v quickly. Our usual "trusted" mechanic couldnt do it in time, so it went somewhere else. oh dear. It failed on eight points. two new tyres apparently (funny, it had two new rears this week and the fitters didnt think the front needed changing, neither do i).

  Car went in for service a good while ago and ever since the windscreen washers take a couple of seconds to pump water through, which is quite annoying when trying to clear the screen of insect debris as this is spread everywhere.

  But in the last few days, the condensation seems to be getting worse and during the current weather conditions, freezes to the inside of the windscreen !! The problem only arises when leaving work at around 6pm, never in the morning. I use the heater to and from work, so the car is warm inside when I park up. Can anyone suggest why this is happening - or is it time to take it back to the dealer ?

  It would be nice to have something with a similar trim level to the Focus (Titanium) and Fiesta (2014 Titanium X) that we have - cruise control, DAB, heated seats, quick melt windscreen, keyless entry, push button start etc.  Any good options that meet all these requirements? It would be nice to stick with Ford since my partner has really only ever driven them so would be familiar to her, but not essential.

  So it did. They "tried everything" and said they couldn't find the problem. Autoglass had a look at the car and said "It's not the windscreen." I've done a forum search and seen there are various possible causes. We can rule out anything to do with sunroofs and aircon, because we have neither. What could it have been that the garage managed to miss?
