  I was driving to work yesterday and got a chip in the windscreen on the dual carriageway. The chip is about half a centimetre across. Is this dangerous and should I have it fixed straight away? I've heard that some windscreen companies can fix chips as an alternative to a new screen altogether, any idea who does this and how much it costs?

   I have fitted a new pre heat relay box and Citroen have fitted a new temperature sensor, but the light and glow plugs will not pre heat. The glow plugs work ok on post heat with the engine running. Citroen are now telling me that the light and the pre heat function should not operate untill the temperature is -15.

  Not an unknown problem reported on google and HJ The centre of the dash and the indent for a HUD reflects in the windscreen in nearly all daylight conditions.  The dash itself is dark grey and the same colour in the E60 was not a problem. Obviously liveable, but are  there any solutions, tint on the glass perhaps?

  Yesterday I had my car's windscreen replaced. I now cannot adjust the rear view mirror to a position that I can see the whole of the rear window. Car is a 54 Reg Primera with rain sensor and auto dipping mirror.   I have been searching for a simple wax free shampoo but nobody seems to stock it. After having big problems with smears on my windscreen (only removed after trying numerous combinations of treatments) I found the culprit to be the car shampoo even though I was very careful to avoid the windscreen. As I polish the car regularly I do not need these wax treatments - just a plain old wax free shampoo.

  I presume they meant the bolts for the heat shield. Obviously rather annoying and another reason why we will be shot of the car ASAP. The only noticable symptom is a "rattle" occasionaly. With that in mind we need to go to b'ham this weekend (about 220miles round trip) and I was wondering what risk are we taking driving the car up the motorway for this distance, with this problem?
