  So with the other new bush I tried doing this by holding a drill bit through the centre hole and running it back and forth across the bench grinder but after an hour there was barely any difference, it still needs more taken off,  in fact I took more off the grinding wheel then the bush. I'm stuck help!

  Whilst it doesn't have the looks of the other marques (though I like the back end) it does, on paper at least, tick the boxes with regards to running costs and equipment levels.  Anyone got any thoughts on this?    Thanks a lot!   Gavin

  What gets  Me is say again 30mph drop a gear to 2nd and floor it ,it will be fine. Very  Few times when starting it would run very lumpy with no power just shut  Off and start again and it will be fine.    Any anwers welcome  Tommy

  i have just bought a zafira 2001 dti, there was a lack of acceleration up to 2-5 rpm, then it takes off, i felt that i was putting my foot down further than i should be, the car runs great once i am moving, cruises at 70 &  put your foot down accelerates no prob, a engine control speed sensor has been mentioned, saying car isnt getting the right amount of fuel at low revs, is this so?

  I also replaced the oil pressure switch as the oil pressur light kept coming on. There are no other warning lights coming on. 31000kms on the clock. Engine runs perfectly. No problem on cold start or hot start immediately after stopping. If you wait 10 minutes the car does not want to start. It is almost as if there is fuel starvation of something alike. If you try long enough it start after a few stutters.

  As soon as I dip the clutch or accelerate they stop flickering. It's only when I'm engine braking so to speak. Running fine so a bit puzzled. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Jim

   I think this is nonsense for two reasons: -    1.  The cars are barely run in (in the case of a diesel Qashqai it has only done 3,600 miles in four months) so the engine has not had time to bed in; and 2. All users of this site know that no-one can acheive the EC figures during normal driving; hence the reason for Real MPG pages here.

  anyone know the probable cause or causes i have  tried to locate the problem but its hard to trace .other to this the car runs ok clutch feels ok but i have noticed a  very slight movement on the engine when started but to me this looks normal  could and engine mount or something like this cause this problem or can something else be the cause ..

  Vehicle under 2 years old. Engine running rough. Simpsons of Colne discovered that number 3 plug lead was burned out. Diagnosed cause to be use of supermarket (Morrisons) fuel. Therefore not covered by warranty. Cost me £183 for new lead and 4 new plugs.

  bought a 08 focus 1.8 tdci from a dealer ,straight away engine management light on ,had seen mechanic day before servcing car ,so took back  codes came back with sticking actuator vane , so he put some additive in fuel and told to give it a couple of good runs without over revving engine . still massive lag on turbo , to point can be dodgy pulling out in traffic  management light back on , back to dealer tomorrow gave me 28 days engine and gearbox warranty , so should fix any else had problems with these motors

• Corsa c - Corsa C won't start! Saying injection fault! 19 Jul 2013 (Forum)
  Right put a new engine in my corsa c 2001 reg 1.0, when I've gone to start it its trying but not starting, I've not changed the ecu kept that from old engine, if I pour petrol into the carb (not sure that's correct wording) it starts then juders runs out of petrol, took it to the garage for diagnostics they say coming back with injector fault so took my old injectors out other engine and put them in still no joy, garage said could be ecu! Any ideas?

  I've just had to replace 2 run-flat tyres (not cheap) to get my car through its MOT. They were both worn abnormally on the inner wall and were the front offside and rear offside, the front being most worn. I've been told various likely causes - tracking, tyre pressure and alignment being some.

  We generally like the car but having traded in a 12 year old Focus with no problem except age, we are disappointed to have this slight rattling noise on the new cars clutch. VW customer service were no more helpful saying they all do it once run in!! Any ideas would be welcome Maisie

  hi, i have an 06 vauxhall vectra c est that has an odd problem, car runs fine no battery probs etc, then every few days it will just not turn over, like a flat battery , just a clicking sound, but there is power everywhere, it used to start after a few turns of the key, but now when it happens it just wont start or turn overt at all, had it jumped from leads and started fine and today i had it pushed and jumped it ok , confusing me as ive checked the battery connections and battery earth etc, any ideas???

  Our 1.9 diesel (now 120k miles) still runs fabulously and starts first time in any weather condition, even down to -15C.  But, if I stop during a journey to pop to a shop or post a letter, it is almost impossible to get it to start again.

  I put it down to the cold and maybe slightly low battery due to short trips with lights and heaters etc. Car has now gone for a run to charge the battery. Alarm has not gone off since, however the info light is lit on the dash when the car is locked. It is not on when the car is being driven. Handbook tells me that this means there is a message, but using the controls on the steering wheel when I go to the message screen tells me there is no message.
