New A6 Allroad arrives in the UK 16 Jan 2012 (News)
All three engines are paired with the seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission which is available with optional paddles on the steering wheel. The quattro permanent four-wheel drive system also gets torque vectoring. During dynamic driving this system brakes the wheels on the inside of a bend, before they start to skid, to enhance traction and handling. The optional sport differential distributes the power in continuously variable proportions between the rear wheels. -

A winner of five Formula One World Championships, Fangio took two of his titles in Maseratis, bringing the most coveted prize in racing back to Maserati’s Modena home in 1954 and 1957. Fangio will forever be remembered for saving the greatest drive of his life to win his fifth and final World Championship in a Maserati 250F. On August 4, 1957, he lost the lead at the Nürburgring by pitting to refuel – an unheard-of strategy at the time – but went on to drive an incredible race, repeatedly smashing the lap record, closing a 1 min 48 s gap and overtaking the two leading Ferraris to achieve his final Grand Prix victory. -

The CG-Lock is designed to fit most vehicles, but is not designed to work with multi-pass seat belt tongue systems. -

The measures being introduced in January are: The current Low Emission Zone has been successful in delivering significant reductions in harmful vehicle emissions by encouraging the oldest, most polluting lorries, buses and coaches driving into London to clean up their emissions. From 3 January 2012, larger vans and minibuses will have to meet Low Emission Zone standards for the first time, meaning only cleaner vehicles of this type that meet the Euro 3 emissions standard for particulate matter can drive within Greater London without their owners paying a £100 daily charge or risking a £500 fine. -

Techno Classica 2015: Peugeot shows off 402 Eclipse 16 Apr 2015 (News)
This example of the 402, which was launched in 1935 to compete with the Citroen Traction Avant, boasted a coachbuilt body that transformed it from a saloon into a coupe-cabriolet. But while the Traction Avant boasted a revolutionary monocoque chassis and front-wheel drive, the 402 was based on much more conventional underpinnings. Don’t think the Peugeot lacked ambition, though - just check out that streamlined shape with its recessed door handles. The 402 was even available with a diesel engine and an automatic transmission.
